MN: Black Beach campground bidding process to begin

TWO HARBORS, Minn. — The Silver Bay City Council passed a resolution Monday, Nov. 5, to accept construction plans and specifications and move forward with the bidding process for Black Beach Campground. The council voted 3-1 to support the plans, with councilor Carlene Perfetto dissenting and Mayor Scott Johnson absent.

Joe Rhein, on behalf of city engineering firm Bolton and Menk, presented the council with “90 percent plans” — essentially complete and with updated estimated site improvement construction costs. The total construction site improvement costs are estimated to be $1.64 million.
