MI: Campground reservations changes have new timetable

GLEN ARBOR, Mich. — National Park Service rangers still have a plan to make campground reservations at Sleeping Bear Dunes’ sites more manageable – and keep people from sleeping in a line of cars while they wait to snag a spot – it’s just going to take a bit longer for the new system to kick in.

Since last year, the popular park has been planning to convert 100 percent of its campsites in the D.H. Day and Platte River campgrounds to spots reservable online through Recreation.gov.
