WESTPORT, Mass. — Selectmen authorized an appraisal of the campgrounds on Old County Road, which could one day be used to supplement the campus of the incoming 5 through 12 school building.
That campus also is adjacent to the town’s library and elementary school.
Campground Evaluation Committee member Joseph Ingoldsby met with selectmen on Monday and requested the appraisal. Town Administrator Timothy King had already looked into it and reported on Monday that there are funds in a special projects account to cover the appraisal, which is estimated to cost between $2,500 and $3,000.
