Kicking off the season with campground improvements

CORNWALL, ON — The trees are greening, the waters are warming — all that St. Lawrence Parks Commission campgrounds need are an open sign to welcome thousands of campers, beach goers and overall nature lovers, according to Standard Freeholder.

All eight of the commission’s campgrounds are kicking off the 2015 season on Friday, May 15, the start of the Victoria Day long weekend, Standard Freeholder reported.

As usual, the commission has made a number of investments to upgrade some of the campgrounds, Standard Freeholder noted. Glengarry has added three of the increasingly popular camper cabins, to complement its 183 campsites. McLaren campsite is getting further powered up, as 30 50 amp RV sites were recently added along the eastern shoreline, to go along with two beach front cabins.
