IA: Lacey-Keosqugua State Park re-opens after 15 months

KEOSAUQUA, Iowa — The moment many local campers in Keosauqua have been waiting for has finally arrived. Wednesday morning the Lacey- Keosauqua State Park finally opened after 15 months of renovations. We spoke with the Park Manager Justin Pedretti about the new upgrades visitors can look forward to.

“Many improvements have been made. All new campsites. All new electrical. All new sewer hookups. A lot of concretes been redone. The roads have been redone,” said Pedretti.

It’s been nearly four decades since the park has been renovated. Making the campground more ‘modern’ was a must while renovations took place.
