Georgia DNR invites input on SCORP

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has presented its Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) and is inviting Georgians to comment, writes the Newton Citizen.

A public meeting will be held Oct. 30, and written comments can be submitted through Nov. 22.

The Newton Citizen writes that SCORP enables Georgia to receive federal dollars from the Land and Water Conservation Fund that supports state, county and city outdoor recreation projects in three categories: land acquisition, development and rehabilitation.
