ATLANTA, Ga. — Georgia has an impressive collection of state parks in all areas of the state. Outdoor and nature enthusiasts have for decades enjoyed parks with tent and recreational vehicle camping while many others have opted for the easier and often more comfortable cabins.
For many years, I have enjoyed camping at state and national parks with family and friends, but these excursions have typically involved a tent or RV and required hours of advance planning and packing to make sure that we had all the items and supplies needed to make our visit pleasant and comfortable. My car would often be packed so tightly that there was only room for me and my dog, and almost inevitably, something would be forgotten that would have made the stay more pleasant.
