GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida’s First District Court of Appeal declined to hear a case on a proposed recreational vehicle park located near Santa Fe Lake outside of Melrose. The Feb. 5 court decision clears the way for park construction to begin.
While the decision could still be reversed, Vincent Esson is confident the courts will rule in the developer’s favor. Esson is the CEO of Tom’s High on the Hog Real Pit Barbecue, Inc., which owns and operates a barbecue restaurant by the same name on the property where the park is set to be built. Tom’s High on the Hog Real Pit Barbecue, Inc. is owned by Frontline Insurance.
