CA: Vandalism continues at Lake Mendocino facilities

UKIAH, Calif. — Vandalism at Lake Mendocino’s recreational facilities continues to be a problem, and multiple recreational facilities at the park are in danger of being closed for an extended period if the problem can’t be solved. Supervisory Park Ranger at Lake Mendocino Poppy Lozoff says that the vandalism ranges from raw sewage being dumped on Inlet Road to light fixtures being broken and removed at the locked North Boat Ramp restrooms.

Lozoff said that they closed Bushay Campground for the season because of excessive garbage dumped in sites and vandalism to the storage compound, cutting of locks, and off-roading through recreation areas.
