CA: Morgan Hill Campground evacuates guests

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — A campground in Morgan Hill evacuated its guests Monday afternoon shortly after the nearby Uvas Reservoir reached capacity and began to spill over its banks.

The Santa Clara Valley Water District said there is no imminent flood risk downstream.

“They said we had to go and we had to leave,” Morgan Hill resident Lambert Lorette said of Thousand Trails Campground.
