Best Parks suspends operations to develop new platform

MCLEAN, Va. — Best Parks in America has suspended its operations for one year starting in January to allow the group to reconfigure the brand, the group announced last week.

“Best Parks in America has decided to overhaul its current operating platform as a prelude to growing the brand. We believe the process will take at least 12 months,” said David Gorin, president and founder. “During this transition period, we feel the responsible action is to no longer actively support the current product. We have recently notified our affiliates of this strategic direction and look forward to re-launching our network of the finest independent campgrounds and outdoor resorts in North America.”

In a letter to affiliated parks sent last week, Gorin said he and his team will use the time to restructure the company, develop a new platform and more stringent standards, retool the marketing program, and work to develop more effective distribution techniques and channels to build promotional strategies.
