AZ: Flintstone park closes

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Arizona’s slice of the stone age is now part of the history books.

Bedrock City, a roadside attraction based on the animated world of “The Flintstones” television show, has closed its doors in northern Arizona, according to the Arizona Republic. The 30-acre property, located 25 miles south of Grand Canyon National Park, recently switched hands as part of a larger sale, but the Flintstones license was not included, the report said.
