Listen to this story

PRAIRIE GROVE, Ark. — Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park will unveil its restored diorama at 2 p.m. March 16 as park interpreters kick off a week-long schedule of activities, programs and events for spring break.

The diorama shows what the Battle of Prairie Grove would have looked like about mid-morning the day of the battle, Dec. 7, 1862. Park interpreters, interns and volunteers have been working on the diorama for several months. It will be unveiled at Hindman Hall Museum.

If you will be in town over spring break, here is the schedule of activities at the state park.
