AB: Campground redistricting passed

FORT SASKATCHEWAN, Alberta — Although it wasn’t even on the list, the proposed expansion to the Lions Club campground at Turner Park took center stage at city council Tuesday night.

It was standing room only during the regular Oct. 23 city council meeting with dozens of residents looking to voice their opinion on the idea of the Lions campground boosting the number of sites at the park.

The actual item up for discussion was amending the Land Use Bylaw to turn the park from parks and recreation to recreation and tourism.
