RESTON, Va. — The National RV Trade Show once again served as the focal point of media attention with national broadcast and print outlets reporting on the industry’s strong recent performance and continued prospects for growth in the year ahead, the RV Industry Association reported today. Coverage highlights included: An Associated Press story that appeared in outlets nationwide, including ABC News, The New York Times, US News and World Report and Chicago Tribune, reporting the RV market has reached pre-recession levels with the momentum expected to continue into 2016. “Bloomberg Markets” aired an interview with Thor’s Bob Martin from the show floor on the bright prospects for his company and the RV industry. Bloomberg Business published a positive story on the RV industry that focused on Forest River, reporting that Warren Buffett made the right decision to get in the RV business with the industry heading for one of its best years on record. (Dec. 4, 2015) -- While overall attendance was up by 3 percent, total buyers were down 1 percent after the 2015 National RV Trade Show closed yesterday, the RV Industry Association reported today. his year, total buyers accounted for 36.12 percent of all show attendees. RV shipments up in October, RVIA reported

(Dec. 1, 2015) -- The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association reported 33,843 RV units were shipped to retailers in October, a 4.6 percent increase over October 2014. Year-to-date shipments of towable RVs are up 4.9 percent over this time last year, and motorhome shipments are up 5.8 percent. Read More »

RVIA’s Tech Academy focuses on technician training

(Nov. 23, 2015) -- Called “Tech Academy 2015,” these sessions are available only to attendees from dealerships, accessory/parts stores, repair shops and campgrounds. Attendees may choose one manufacturer’s class per time slot. Tuesday’s product overviews are open to as many as 80 attendees each. Hands-on technician training sessions are limited to 15 attendees.
