Montana to regulate campgrounds, dealers as subdivisions

(March 27, 2013) -- A bill being considered by the Montana legislature classifies "recreational camping vehicles" as buildings and makes them subject to state subdivision laws. Dealerships that rent RVs, campgrounds that lease RV sites and even stores like Walmart that allow more than two RVs to park on the lot at any time would be subject to a host of new regulations under the bill. ARVC intervention delays electrical code change

(March 25, 2013) -- A proposal to the National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) National Electric Code (NEC) suggested a new code requirement that would have required campground operators to ground each electrical pedestal with copper grounding rods at a cost of $70 to $100 each.

Jim Rogers: Outdoor industry missing great opportunity
