Heartland RVs updates Big Country brand for 2018

ELKHART, Ind. — Heartland RVs listens to its customers and its dealer partners. Putting those suggestions into production, the manufacturer has announced updates to the Big Country brand for the 2018 model year.

Keeping with its commitment to full-time RVing, Big Country fifth wheels will come standard with 12-volt heat pads on water tanks in the 2018 calendar year. A water filter has been incorporated into the water inlet on the Universal Docking Station. All floorplans now come with 40-inch fireplaces and most feature 55-inch LED TVs in the entertainment center.

Big Country is known for luxurious interior decor, and the 2018s only strengthen this reputation.

“The main focus this year for Big Country was to make the interior lighter,” said Matt Olds, Big Country and Elkridge product manager.

He added, “We combined the rich wood tone, which has been a favorite with our customers, with lighter accents, countertops and flooring. We also upgraded the light box over the kitchen island with LEDs for a more modern appeal.”

Valances and window trim in the main living area are now made with solid wood. Linoleum has been updated with a new color and design, and Shaw carpet has been upgraded and features new padding.

Big Country RVs will be equipped with new High Max solid surface countertops and will also feature new wall board throughout the coach. Big Country RVs can be outfitted with one of two decor options: Dresden, a darker leather with a subtle top stitch design, and Havana, a lighter soft brown leather.

Full-timers need a lot of storage. Big Country offers the largest exterior storage in its class with more than 145 cubic feet, unobstructed pass-through storage and insulated slam latch baggage doors with magnetic latches. Exterior storage areas are fully lined and entertainment prepped.

Heartland understands that modern technology facilitates the full-time RV lifestyle. More USB ports have been added so that RVers can easily keep their devices charged. Theater seats are powered with heat and massage capabilities.

The 6-point Level Up system now features touch pad controls. While the standard features, like the 30,000 BTU Whisper Quiet AC, are impressive, Big Country also offers options for a 22 cu. ft. residential refrigerator with a through-door water dispenser, Dyson vacuum system, artistic ceiling beams, and a 50 AMP power cord reel.

“We have two new floorplans – the 3155RLK and the 3310QSCK – that are under 38-feet to accommodate those customers who prefer a luxury fifth wheel but want to camp at state and national parks,” says Olds.

The popular 4010RD floorplan and several other models with rear entertainment centers have been outfitted with retractable TV mounts so campers can enjoy beautiful views from their rear window when not utilizing the entertainment center.

“A lot of the standard features on the Big Country are upgrades on other fifth wheels in the market,” Olds says. “It’s a luxury fifth wheel with more bang for the buck.”

Heartland RVs is dedicated to making sure its customers are satisfied with their new RV. Starting in November, Big Country and all other Heartland products will come with a 3-year limited structural warranty. This is in addition to the 1-year warranty for full-time RVing already offered on Big Country.
