Where to camp in Arizona’s mountains this Labor Day

(Aug. 11, 2017) -- Among Arizona State Parks, most of the campsites at Buckskin Mountain, Cattail Cove and Lyman Lake are booked for Sept. 1-4.

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Along with Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, Labor Day is one of most popular camping holidays in Arizona. Labor Day is Sept. 4 this year and it’s not too soon to think about where you’ll pitch your tent or park your rig.

Lots of people have already staked their claims. Half of Lake Pleasant Regional Park’s campsites have been reserved. The 148-site campground filled up last Labor Day.

Among Arizona State Parks, most of the campsites at Buckskin Mountain, Cattail Cove and Lyman Lake are booked for Sept. 1-4.
