TX: Community pitches in to send RV to family in Houston

(Sept. 5, 2017) -- A family is raised more than $5,000 in one day to get their RV up and running, and it’ll be making a journey to Houston, Tex., this week to aid a family of three who lost their home during the recent floods there.

KENNETT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A family is raised more than $5,000 in one day to get their RV up and running, and it’ll be making a journey to Houston, Tex., this week to aid a family of three who lost their home during the recent floods there.

“People in the community really helped out,” said Mary Liz Crawley. “It’s great.”

The RV, named The Funky Waffle, will be the family’s home until they can get stabilized. Many in the local community pitched in to get it ready.
