(Oct. 24, 2013) -- Government Security News reports that TSA has selected Tennessee-based First Place Finish, Inc. to remodel a 2004 Coachmen Sportcoach Elite so the modified RV can serve as a mobile command post at disaster sites in and around the Memphis, Tenn., area.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Government Security News reports that TSA has selected Tennessee-based First Place Finish, Inc. to remodel a 2004 Coachmen Sportcoach Elite so the modified RV can serve as a mobile command post at disaster sites in and around the Memphis, Tenn., area.

According to the award notice published by the agency on Oct. 23, a $10,744 contract was awarded to First Place.

“Memphis’s AOR lies within the New Madrid Fault Earthquake Zone, as well as the documented eastern range of ‘Tornado Alley’,” says a statement of work accompanying the award notice. “Given these and other considerations, the need to be able to rapidly establish a Command, Control and Communications, (C3), Post is indicated for these natural disaster probabilities, but also inclusive of C3 needs for local, regional and national security incidents.”
