RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Journal reports that residents of the city of Sturgis who have hosted rally campers in the past can now legally continue to do so.
On Monday, the Sturgis City Council approved an ordinance that will allow temporary camping within residential areas of the city. Currently there are only two places in the city of Sturgis that are zoned for camping: the Sturgis RV Park and a portion of the Days Inn, reports the Rapid City Journal.
The Rapid City Journal reports that under the ordinance, no more than 19 campers will be allowed at any campsite or residence.
