Skyline recalls 544 for contaminated brake systems

(July 11, 2011) -- Skyline Corporation is recalling 544 RV travel trailers and fifth-wheels for contaminated brake systems. The vehicle may fail to stop properly, resulting in a loss of control, increasing the risk of crash and/or injury without warning.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Skyline Corporation is recalling 544 model year 2011-2012 Nomad, Aljo, Layton, Weekender, Bobcat, Joey and Koala RV travel trailers and fifth-wheel trailers manufactured from Oct. 1, 2010 through April 20, 2011 for contaminated brake systems.

With contaminated brakes, the vehicle may fail to stop properly, resulting in a loss of control of the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash and/or injury without warning.
