RV living stages a comeback

(June 2, 2010) -- Wealth, fame and “The Gravedigger” nickname Gilbert Brown earned opened many doors, but he never predicted that it would open a door to the joys of RVing.

Gilbert Brown grew up in inner-city Detroit and went on to a successful football career — 10 years as a defensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers and one season as a Super Bowl champion, reports the Daily Comet. Wealth, fame and “The Gravedigger” nickname he earned opened many doors, but the newspaper says Brown could never have predicted that it would open one to the joys of RVing.

According to the news report, Brown, his wife and four kids aged 16 to 1, love to load up their recreational vehicle, hit the road and camp.

The Daily Comet notes Brown encourages people — especially those who live in urban areas — to at least try it once.
