RV Daily Report to cut back frequency

SUN CITY, Ariz. — RV Daily Report will cut back on the number of issues it produces each month after editor Greg Gerber announced today he has accepted a job with Cincinnati-based Procter and Gamble.

Gerber, who has a background in public relations and degree in the subject, will become the official spokesperson for one of Procter and Gamble’s flagship products — Charmin.

After Dick Wilson died Nov. 19, 2007, the company has been searching for a replacement for the ever-popular Mr. Whipple. When a Procter and Gamble executive, who owns an RV, saw Gerber’s picture while reading a blog in a recent issue of RV Daily Report, he thought Gerber might be able to fill Wilson’s shoes.

“The resemblance is uncanny,” said April Fule, director of brand awareness at P&G. “They look alike, talk alike, think alike and act alike. The best part is that Gerber comes with his own special padding.”

“I’ve been squeezing people for information and advertisers for money for so long, I guess squeezing the Charmin came naturally,” said Gerber.

After filming the first round of commercials, Gerber will travel the country in specially designed Charmin-white motorhome visiting campgrounds and RV dump stations to promote a new brand of environmentally-friendly toilet paper.

  3. Greg,

Hope RV Daily Report doesn’t go away all together. Maybe you can “squeeze” in a report or two from the road in your motorhome.

Always enjoy reading about what’s going on in the RV industry and you seem to offer a wider range of news than your competitors..
