RV Centennial Cookbook back in print

WACO, Texas — Evada Cooper, the author of the RV Centennial Cookbook, announced today that the cookbook is back in print and available through Amazon.com.

The book, which had previously been published by Texas State Technical College’s publishing division, has been unavailable since the middle of 2012 when the college shut down the publishing operation. New copies of the book had been selling for upward of $400. Today, the book lists for $24.28.

Here is the book description on Amazon:

Do the Corn Dog Twist! Or how about Bernie & Briar’s Tortilla Scramble? Or for the bean lovers, try Methane Madness: A Sweet Chili concocted by a boy and his mentor from Big Brothers in the mid-’70s. There’s nothing like jumping into the RV and hitting the road. Celebrate with us a whole century of taking fun on the road. Here’s to good cooking and good RVing. But wait….there’s more.

Did you know generators ‘slobber’ oil out the exhaust so you need to check the oil level every day before cranking it up? Check out this and more maintenance tips scattered throughout the book. And when the sun goes down and camp lanterns and fireflies flicker through the night, call the youngins in for an old-fashioned game of Kick the Can. We’ve included instructions on how to play this game as well as other popular games of yesteryear.

“I am honored to be a part of the RV Centennial and have this cookbook endorsed by the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) as the Official RV Centennial Cookbook (1910-2010),” said Cooper. “Inside you will find 100 recipes configured for five different methods of cooking. From the campfire – to the RV oven, you will enjoy RVing at its best because these recipes are from those who love to RV and rank each as their own favorites.

“I know after trying them, each will become your favorites, as well. Come celebrate the wonderful RVing industry that is all about enjoying friends, family and good food,” she added.
