Rangers pushing fire safety on campers

(Aug. 10, 2015) -- There are 16 counties under a burn ban in Arkansas, and 38 counties under wild fire danger. Other parks along with DeGray Lake Resort State Park has been taking extra precautions.

MALVERN, Ark. — As temperatures continue to rise, the Forestry Commission and state park rangers are keeping a close eye on wildfire conditions, according to THV.

Mark Campbell works for the DeGray Lake Resort State Park. He has had a pretty long relationship with Mother Nature. He has worked with state parks for 35 years, THV reported.

There are 16 counties under a burn ban, and 38 counties under wild fire danger. Although, DeGray Lake Resort State Park isn’t on the list, Campbell told THV things could change in a matter of minutes. For that reason, the park has been taking extra precautions.
