CT: Ordinance addresses parking of campers on city streets

(Aug. 9, 2018) -- The Board of Aldermen on Aug. 6, will consider an ordinance that seeks an expansion in regulated motorized and non-motorized vehicles, trailers, boats, and campers to include restricting overnight parking of commercial vehicles on Milford’s residential streets.

SHELTON, Conn. — The Board of Aldermen on Aug. 6, will consider an ordinance that seeks an expansion in regulated motorized and non-motorized vehicles, trailers, boats, and campers to include restricting overnight parking of commercial vehicles on Milford’s residential streets.

“Working with residents of our district who have been subjected to diesel fumes, oil and lubricant spills endangering the ecosystem of Gulf Pond and related waterways, and other public nuisances, I reached out to Jonathan Berchem to research the issue, and to Mayor Blake for support,” said Alderman Bryan Anderson. “Jonathan’s research revealed that Milford is one of the few municipalities that has not regulated the parking of commercial vehicles overnight on residential streets.”
