One dog killed in camper fire

(March 16, 2016) -- Two dogs were inside a camper when it caught fire Tuesday morning. The Colorado Springs Fire Department says one of the dogs was able to get out, but the other was killed.

COLORADO SPRING, Colo. — Two dogs were inside a camper when it caught fire Tuesday morning.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department says one of the dogs was able to get out, but the other was killed.

The trailer is a total loss.

The fire started around 10 a.m. The camper was parked in the area of Astrozon Boulevard and Aeroplaza Drive. Despite strong wind gusts, firefighters were able to keep the flames contained to the trailer.
