N.C.: Mills River board considers code changes for tiny homes

(Dec. 6, 2017) -- The Mills River Planning Board mulled a variety of changes to the town code, hoping to establish requirements for tiny-home and similar developments, as well as ordinance recommendations to place a time limit on building permit applications.

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — The Mills River Planning Board mulled a variety of changes to the town code, hoping to establish requirements for tiny-home and similar developments, as well as ordinance recommendations to place a time limit on building permit applications.

After the town council passed a six-month moratorium on tiny-home and similar developments in early November, the board began discussing what type of requirements it would like to put in place for those uses.
