MT: Zoning commission pauses on RV parking changes

(Feb. 16, 2017) -- The Great Falls Zoning Commission tabled a proposed ordinance Tuesday that would allow home owners to park extra trucks, cars, boats and recreational vehicles on gravel pads within the confines of their property.

GREAT FALLS, Mont. — The Great Falls Zoning Commission tabled a proposed ordinance Tuesday that would allow home owners to park extra trucks, cars, boats and recreational vehicles on gravel pads within the confines of their property.

Current city code prohibits homeowners from parking their extra vehicles on the grass or upon a dirt or graveled strip. By ordinance, all off-street parking areas are required to be either asphalt or concrete, leaving hundreds of Great Falls residents in violation even though they may be unaware of the law.
