May 24 Weekend campers should pack shovels

(May 18, 2017) -- Snow is expected to begin Saturday morning in Labrador and the Northern Peninsula, eventually moving across the island and making its way to the Avalon by Saturday night.

ST. JOHNS, Newfoundland and Labrador — People looking forward to May 24 should be prepared for a blustery, white weekend at the cabin.

While sun and clouds have graced the island today PAL Airlines and Aerospace Meteorologist, Brian Walsh, says not to expect the same for the long weekend.

A low moving in from the west will see possible thundershowers Friday night before temperatures drop.
