Man pleads not guilty to charges of firing a gun

(Dec. 11, 2015) -- A Natrona County, Wyo., man is accused of firing a gun into a camper, as part of a scare tactic, will be headed to the state hospital in Evanston for a mental evaluation.

CASPER, Wyo. — A Natrona County man is accused of firing a gun into a camper, as part of a scare tactic, will be headed to the state hospital in Evanston for a mental evaluation, according to K2 Radio.

Levi McInturff has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness to one count of aggravated assault and battery and one count of possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent, K2 Radio reported.

According to his attorney, McInturff has Huntington’s disease, which causes nerves cells in the brain to break down.
