Jim Baker, 95, recieves recognition with Good Sam

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Jim Baker is not just a member of Good Sam, he’s the member. Jim and his late wife Maxine organized the first Salina Sams Chapter in 1972, according to Hutch News.

And on the Kansas State Good Sam “Samboree” RV Rally Saturday, Baker received his recognition for attending 100 Samborees all across the United States and Canada, Hutch News explained.

The 95-year-old was still as sharp as the 100-piece chapter vest of stars, logos and buttons he was wearing as he recalled a number of tales throughout his travel to different regions, Hutch News noted.
