Gypsy Journal RV: It’s going to take some work

WASHINGTON — In yesterday’s blog I told you about my plan to sink some lengths of 4-inch diameter thick-walled PVC into the ground at the edge of a ditch that borders our property to help form a rough seawall to stop erosion and to give us something against which to put in some fill dirt to reclaim what we’ve lost already.

Even though it was really hot yesterday, in fact the hottest day of the year so far, I was eager to give it a try and see how hard it would be to sink the PVC. As it turned out, it’s going to take some work. Over the years rock and brick have been thrown in along the bank to stop the erosion, and it looks like that’s going to present a bit of an obstacle for us.
