Gypsy Journal RV: I just don’t get it

WASHINGTON — I got involved in an email discussion with a gentleman the other day that was frustrating for him and me both, I’m sure. And the upshot of it all was that I just don’t get it.

Somebody referred this man, who is building an MCI bus conversion similar to what we had, to me. He was having problems with his generator and hoped I could help him. And I tried. But like I said, apparently I just don’t get it.

When we converted our bus, we removed the large air conditioning compressor that was in a compartment behind the driver’s side front wheel. We didn’t need an air conditioner capable of cooling down 47 people, but we did need that space to install a generator.

  1. Many years ago, I installed an early PC in a lumber yard office. A few days later the secretary called to say it had quit working. I went to check it out and, knew instantly the problem. The secretary had complained about the loud fans and the maintenance man had built a nice insulated box to put over it. Dead on arrival.
