BAY CITY, Mich. — This year, visitors to Bay City’s Tall Ship Celebration, taking place July 11-14, have a new lodging option that allows them to be right in the thick of the action, writes the Bay City Times.
“We are, for the first time, offering a limited number of camping spaces in Veterans Memorial Park,” said Tall Ship Celebration Event Coordinator Shirley Roberts. “So people could be close to the action, within walking distance of Ballads & Brews in the evening, and close enough to be, if they get up early enough, first in line at the festival gates in the morning.”
Roberts said 62 spaces are available to those with recreational vehicles and motorhomes. Cost is $40 a night for riverfront sites and $30 a night for parking lot sites. The sites do not offer water or sewer hookups.
The Bay City Times writes that Bay City’s 2013 Tall Ship Celebration features live music, food, art, activities for children and a fleet of 12 majestic tall ships. The festival is expected to draw more than 100,000 people.
