Escapees gives free membership to veterans

(Nov. 12, 2012) -- "This program is to honor all of our nation's heroes who are currently sacrificing in the armed forces," said Cathie Carr, president of Escapees RV Club. "We are really proud of our veterans and military service personnel and are so pleased to give something special back to them."

LIVINGSTON, Texas — In addition to veterans discounts, Escapees RV Club today announced a new program that offers free Escapees memberships to all U.S. active duty military members.

“This program is to honor all of our nation’s heroes who are currently sacrificing in the armed forces,” said Cathie Carr, president of Escapees RV Club. “We are really proud of our veterans and military service personnel and are so pleased to give something special back to them.”

This program is 100 percent free as long as the member remains on active duty and offers the same great benefits of general membership. The only modification is military members will receive a digital copy of Escapees magazine that can be accessed through the Escapees website.

“Not only is the membership free, but you will also receive the 5 percent veterans discount, which can be used on items that can be purchased on the Escapees online store,” said Carr.

For more information, visit www.escapees.com/veteran for instructions and a complete outline of the benefits available for U.S. veterans and active-duty personnel.

  1. The headline on this article is absolutely false!! They are not giving free memberships to VETERANS, only to ACTIVE-DUTY personnel. This is extremely misleading and blatently false!!

  2. You are absolutely right, Edith.

My apologies for the misleading title. It has been changed to more accurately reflect the terms of the offer.

    Sorry for the confusion.
