Drivin’ and Vibin’: Free camping at Grayrocks Reservoir

WHEATLAND, Wyo. — As the Great American Eclipse approached, we wanted to find a beautiful boondocking site along the path of totality.

Grayrocks Reservoir was just that and more! This spot is huge – it can probably accommodate more than 300 rigs of all sizes and many of the sites have waterfront views.

This park offers vault toilets and possibly trash receptacles (we were here for the eclipse and aren’t sure if they brought the dumpsters in for this specific event). There is free potable water and a free dump station in town located at Lewis Park.
