Do It Yourself RV: 6 reasons why you should downsize

WASHINGTON — When I was a kid my family camped a lot. At first we did this in a simple tent. However, as I got older my parents upgraded to a small pop-up camper and eventually to a full-blown travel trailer with a bunkhouse.

  1. Not sure I could go into 29′ or less. Traded a 35′ 5er for 43′ for the 2 of us and a small dog. 29′ maybe for an over night but for weeks at a time? We are currently spending 9 – 10 weeks in our 5er. Small just will not work. Maybe when we get old but I’m only 69 now.
