Child found living in stolen meth trailer

(Aug. 29, 2016) -- Deputies say they found evidence of various firearms along with meth and marijuana. A stolen pop-up camper was also found on the property in Decatur, Mich. Police say it was being used to conceal the wanted felons.

DECATUR TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department say its officers arrested two felony fugitives Friday night for outstanding warrants, possession of multiple firearms, drugs, and child abuse and neglect.

Police arrested Walter Hoytt Nicks and Nina Louise Sparks. Both had outstanding warrants in Van Buren County and Sparks also had an outstanding warrant in Kalamazoo.

Deputies say they found evidence of various firearms along with meth and marijuana.  A stolen pop-up camper was also found on the property. Police say it was being used to conceal the wanted felons. Police say pills and meth were also inside the camper.
