CA: Man shot by police at Hungtington Beach RV Park

(Jan. 11, 2017) -- A woman reported that a man was “agitated” and had possibly overdosed. The first officer arrived and found a woman on the ground unresponsive and a man standing next to her holding a knife. It was immediately unknown why she was on the ground. Officers said she was not injured.

SANTA ANA, Calif. — A man holding a knife who was shot by an officer in Huntington Beach was in critical condition Tuesday, police said.

At about 10:21 p.m. Monday night, officers responded to the Huntington By-the-Sea RV park at 21871 Newland St. after medics were called, according to Huntington Beach police Officer Jennifer Marlatt.
