Auto museum steps back in time with trailer show

CAMARILLO, Calif. — Stepping into a 1952 trailer mobile general store, labeled Arnie’s Sporting Goods in faded letters, is a trip back in time at the Murphy Auto Museum in Oxnard.

The meticulously collected inventory in a mobile store that would traverse campgrounds in the 1950s is the labor of love of museum Director David Neel.

In homage to family-style summer vacations, the museum, will offer its fourth annual vintage trailer show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
