CHURCH HILL, Tenn. — Investigators are trying to determine who set three campers and a cabin on fire at a small campground near Church Hill early Wednesday morning, and then fled down the Holston River in a stolen kayak, according to Times News.
Around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday volunteer firefighters from the Goshen Valley and Carters Valley departments were dispatched to multiple campers burning at a campground owned by Greg and Rhenda Burchette off of River Road near Laurel Run Park, Times News reported.
There had been about a half dozen campers parked along the Holston River shore.
Two campers located beside each other were set ablaze. The arsonists then skipped two campers before setting the third campers on fire.
