ELKO, Nev. — Snow or no snow, moon or no moon, come join other outdoor enthusiasts for a nighttime of snowshoeing (or hiking) 6 p.m. Feb. 15 at Angel Creek Campground near Wells, Daily Free Press reports.
The Elko District, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service and Cedar Creek Clothing are teaming up for the second of three winter moonlight snowshoe hikes, according to Daily Free Press.
This hike is for all ages and skill levels to participate. Daily Free Press explains, following the hike, snowshoers can enjoy a moonlit night, the pop and crackle of a campfire, free hot chocolate, marshmallows and great conversations. This event will last approximately two hours and is an opportunity to meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts in a free, fun, family atmosphere.
Snowshoes, provided for free by Cedar Creek Clothing, are available for the first 50 people who register, Daily Free Press encourages people to sign up.
