AK: Learn-to-camp weekend at Denali

(June 15, 2018) -- Families will learn how to set up a campsite, cook and be safe around wildlife while camping with park rangers at a group site at the Savage River Campground.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska — The application period is open for the family learn-to-camp program at Denali National Park that takes place July 6-8.

Families will learn how to set up a campsite, cook and be safe around wildlife while camping with park rangers at a group site at the Savage River Campground.

The Fairbanks Alaska Public Lands Information Center will provide camping gear and Alaska Geographic will provide food between Friday dinner through Sunday lunch.
