A Pennsylvania city, two neighbors, and an RV

(Dec. 2, 2011) -- Two neighbors - one on each side of the border between Pittston and Jenkins Township - have been fighting for months after one allegedly attached a mobile camper to his rental property, and this dispute might soon pull the city into a lawsuit, reports the Scranton Times-Tribune.

PITTSTON, Pa. — Two neighbors – one on each side of the border between Pittston and Jenkins Township – have been fighting for months after one allegedly attached a mobile camper to his rental property, and this dispute might soon pull the city into a lawsuit, reports the Scranton Times-Tribune.

Joseph and Judy Tubioli, who live on the Jenkins Township side, said they are fed up with neighbor Don Yatko and his camper. Pittston zoning ordinances require major RV equipment to be stored “in a carport or enclosed building or in a rear yard,” but Yatko’s trailer is parked on the front driveway, reports the Scranton Times-Tribune.

The Scranton Times-Tribune reports that the Tubiolis complained to Pittston city officials and have now hired an attorney. They say the city isn’t doing enough to force Yatko to comply with city codes, and said if the camper is not gone by the end of December, there’s going to be a lawsuit.
