2018 Airstream Classics to have Alde on board

JACKSON CENTER, Ohio — New for 2018, Airstream is installing Alde Compact 3010 hydronic heating systems with a ready supply of hot water in its luxurious 30-foot and 33-foot Classic models.

The Alde Compact 3010 provides soft currents of gentle heat that evenly warms the entire trailer, without the harsh, dry, dusty air and noisy fans common with electric heaters.

The 2018 Classic models feature Alde’s innovative Flow. The system delivers immediate hot water for bathing and washing, limited only by the fresh water and fuel supply.

“Alde hydronic heating was chosen because it provides consistent, unified and completely silent heating to our Classic line,” said Bryan Melton, Airstream general manager of travel trailers. “For the 2018 models, we added Alde’s Flow system, which acts like a secondary water heater providing instant hot water.”

Alde’s efficient Compact 3010 runs off of clean-burning propane, 110-volt shore power or 12-volt DC, and draws a mere 1.9 amps. The Airstream Classic is spacious and, at only 13.5 inches long by  20 inches wide by 12.25 inches high, the hydronic heater takes very little away from the trailer’s ample storage.
