CALICO ROCK, Ark. -- Dan Weber, the owner of Jordan Marina on Norfork Lake, is ready to add 40 campsites scheduled for closure by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District to his lease agreement with the Corps, and have them ready for the 2012 season, reports the Baxter Bulletin.
Weber told the Bulletin Thursday that he hopes for a quick turn-around with any paperwork.
"The most important thing to me right now is that when the season starts this park is open," Weber said. "This is a very busy park. It's the only park on the south end of the lake. There's not another park until you get to Robinson Point. That's a lot of lake."
With a lease agreement to run the Jordan campground, Weber said he also hopes for permission to add showers and new toilets that serve the campgrounds, writes the Baxter Bulletin.
