CARROLLTON, Ky. -- The Madison Courier reports that the city of Carrollton is hoping to apply for a federal grant this fall, for up to $1.5 million to help pay for an RV park and other riverfront plans.
The grants will be awarded in Feb. 2013. Awarded cities will have three years to spend the money, reports the Madison Courier.
"I think it's something we seriously need to go after," Mayor Gene McMurry said. "There are some questions that need to be answered first, but this is a golden opportunity to move forward with our RV Park."
