PAULLINA, Iowa -- The O'Brien County Conservation Board has announced that Mill Creek State Park, a popular state park near Paullina, is now under the ownership of the O'Brien County Conservation Board, reports the Chronicle Times.
Many citizens of the area and the O'Brien County Supervisors have continued to make improvements to the park over the years. Recreational camping began as a free space for tenting in 1940, but the park now hosts 48 sites with 20/30/50 AMP electrical service, water, cable television and internet access, reports the Chronicle Times.
The Chronicle Times reports that the Conservation Board has decided to name the area Mill Creek Park.
